How you get Promotion Points fast? not quest, plz
Hell, yea, this is the worst thing about NF, imho.
Why do you need promotion points to continue the game storyline? I mean, for example, if I create a Elona char, and I go Gandara by beating all missions at the island, I could reach there with easily 1500+ points, then, gain the tittle of General and go thought next missions fast.
However, the problem I see with getting a tyrian character to elona, is that, when you get out the island, you'll need to do alot of quest before you can even do the first mission there. To do first mission, you need to be General rank, in other words, you need 2500 promotion points, and that sucks.
Well, that sucks, we all know. Now, I would like some tips and advice to get PM as fast as possible, since I cannot waste my time doing quest that gives me 10, 20, 100-150 at most promotion points...
So, how do you guys get promotion points, and so, grow the rank, fast and easy? Is there any area to "grind" points, by killing monsters and re-enter the area to kill them again? 4 points per monster, but... which area is teh best to do that? :P
Thanks anyone that can give any tip, I'm really pissed that Anet make this. Because, yes, it could be fun when you do it with your elona char, or when you do it 2 or 3 times; if you have intentions to do it with more than 3 characters, it can be bored and pissing as hell.
Thanks.

sorry, but the fastest way is by doing quests. but if you want to spend your time killing mobs, it's your choice.

Not entirely true. Quests, but take every single bounty
The fastest way for a tyrian (Olias as MM):
- Hunted (insect bounty)
- Exit sunspear sanctuary to W (get Drake in cage + other quests there)
- Do the great escape
-- Plant bounty
-- Kournan bounty (get it close to where the mission takes you)
-- after you're done, look to SW of the fort, there's tons of plants there
- Fool's Elixir (plant, insect, mandragor bounty)
- Drake in a cage (do it at the same time as above)
- Finish drake in a cage in Marga coast, take new quests there
-- Kournan bounty in Marga coast + anything else
- Complete the 3 mandatory primary quests.
This seems a lot, but only requires you to zone 3 times, and gives an almost guaranteed 2500 points that you need by the time you complete mandatory quests. It can be done in well under two hours, depending on how outfitted your heroes are. You can bring level 2 Koss there, it'll work.
The most important part of this is, that you get all the points, complete the primary quests, and level up your heroes (Tahikora, Dunkoro and Olias, optionally Koss or Melonni). You'll need Tahikora and Dunkoro later on, so getting them up to speed at this point is good. This is why the extra quests.

Mehtahni Keys when you are low level. Everything. Pick up
all the bounties, and clear the zone. Corsairs are my favorite though, the Sunspear Scout is at the shrine in the middle of the southern island for them.
Barbarous Shore later on. Hekets and Corsairs. Priest with Corsair bounty is at the shrine in the south near the 3 collectors. Wandering Boss group there can make it difficult if you get agro'd by more than one group. Can get decent drops there early on. Mehdi's vow, a zealous green scythe might drop off him.

But really to save you time reading through the thread. Just talk with the priests at rez shrines and accept the bounties on the mainland. It will take you, tops, two or three trips through an area and means, at most, 45 mins of work.
